PRAGUE, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) — The Czech police have accused a young man who supports radical Islam of preparing a bomb terrorist attack, reported local media on Friday.

The man is a Slovak origin and converted to Islam in 2015. He went to mosques in Prague. It is reported that the accused was dressed like a soldier and used the erect index finger as a greeting, which is a symbol of devotion of the Islamic State fighters.

During the search of the man’s home, police found chemicals, manuals for making bombs and instructions on how to attach them to the body and a car.

The man claimed it was material for producing fireworks to celebrate New Year, but the explanation was not accepted by police.

The prosecuted man said the former Prague imam was “his sheikh”, that is his role model in practicing Islam.

The police previously accused the former imam of support for terrorism. The imam at large is prosecuted for aid to his brother and sister-in-law who took part in the fighting in Syria in a sister terrorist organisation of Al-Qaida, according to the police.

The Slovak man was arrested by Czech police on Nov. 16, 2017 and was remanded in custody by the Prague 5 District Court.
