BISHKEK, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) — Kyrgyz security officers have detained a 72-year-old man here over what turned out to be a bomb hoax, the press service of the State Committee for National Security reported Thursday.
In March, the Bishkek police received a phone call in which the caller talked about preparing explosives in one of the streets of the capital city.
Officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Committee for National Security inspected the place and did not find any suspicious objects or explosive devices, the report said.
The man was drunk when he made the false bomb alert, the report said.
Earlier reports said that the police have received five false bomb alerts so far this year, while last year there were 10.
