An Amber Alert has been issued for a teenage girl in Tennessee who has been missing since two days from Roane County. Haley Brandenburg, 17, was last seen wearing tan Adidas pants with a pink stripe and a green Subway shirt.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) on Thursday urged the public to help locate the “endangered teen who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds.” She wears glasses and has braces.
Authorities said the teenager was believed to be with Robert Andrew Garren. The 31-year-old man was named the suspect in Brandenburg’s disappearance. Garren has brown eyes and brown hair. He was 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 284 pounds, investigators said.
Police said Garren faced a criminal charge in connection with Brandenburg’s disappearance.
Investigators believe the duo may be driving in a beige, 2006 Honda Odyssey van with Tennessee Tag 240KZS. It remains unclear if the two know each other.
Anyone with information on Brandenburg’s whereabouts was asked to call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
According to its website, the TBI reserves Amber Alerts for the most serious of missing children cases, in which law enforcement believes a child was in imminent danger. The Endangered Child Alert (ECA) is issued for missing children cases in which there is a concern for the child’s safety.
While the statewide search for Brandenburg continues, there were few other active Amber Alerts on the TBI website.
A Middle Tennessee Amber Alert was issued for the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office for 9-year-old Chloie Leverette and 7-year-old Gage Daniel. The children were last seen Sept. 23, 2012 by a neighbor but their whereabouts still remain unknown. Chloie and Gage lived with their grandparents in Unionville. Their home was destroyed by fire and after an extensive five-day search, multiple fire experts said they were unable to locate evidence that Chloie and Gage were victims of the fire. The location of the two children remain unknown.
Another Amber Alert was active for the Millersville Police Department for four months old Zaylee Grace Fryar. The white female with brown eyes, black hair, weighed 12 pounds and approximately 24 inches tall when she went missing in 2011. She was last known to be with her mother, Shauna Marie Fryar.
