In a five-hour interview with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the FBI, convicted killer Chris Watts discussed details of the murders of his pregnant wife and two young daughters. One of the other topics of discussion during the interview centered on Watts’ survival and his claim that a hit was put out on his life while in a Colorado prison.

Now in a Wisconsin prison, Watts said during the interview that his fellow inmates wanted him dead as they urged him to commit suicide by “drowning himself in the toilet or hanging himself,” according to the state and federal agents.

“All [of] the inmates would yell at him at night and would explain to him all the ways he could kill himself in his cell,” the agents said.

Watts admitted to agents during the interview that “he should have died” while in the Colorado prison.  Investigators added that the inmate “heard there was a ‘hit’ on him in Colorado” and “felt like he would [have] lasted a week in Colorado before someone would kill him.”

The Colorado Department of Corrections paid $12,600 of taxpayers’ money to move Watts to a Wisconsin prison, Radar Online reported. He is currently serving three consecutive life sentences.
