A kangaroo has attacked a golfer on a course in Sydney’s west leaving him with cuts to his face, arms and legs.
The 52-year-old received first aid treatment on the Riverside Oaks Golf Resort at 1pm Wednesday.
The man was taken to Sydney’s Westmead hospital for further treatment and is now in stable condition, according to 7 News.
It is unclear as to how the incident unfolded and what provoked the kangaroo to attack the man.
Mobs of eastern gray kangaroos can be found in the premises of the Riverside Oaks Golf Resort and is known to be an attraction for visitors and guests.
Golfers are often warned to keep a safe distance from kangaroos as they are still wild animals and can cause serious injury if provoked.
