Motorcyclist dead after ‘losing control’ on Sydney’s Anzac Bridge

A motorcycle rider has been killed after “losing control” of his bike and colliding with a truck on Sydney’s Anzac Bridge.

The 29-year-old man was riding east on the bridge, from Glebe Island toward Pyrmont, just after 7am this morning when he lost control of his bike, according to New South Wales Police.

He was hit by a truck travelling in the same direction and died at the scene.

After the accident, police were told the man hit another vehicle, described as a white Holden Commodore ute, before he collided with the truck.

Officers are trying to track down the driver and have appealed for dashcam footage of the incident.

The 40-year-old truck driver was not injured and has been taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
