Telugu audience and critics are apparently not impressed with Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2. As per their review, the circumquel film Vishwaroopam is an incoherent film that can be avoidable.

The story of Vishwaroopam 2 continues from the first part. Wisam Ahmed (Kamal Haasan) helps the US army in defusing a deadly bomb set by his friend, dreaded terrorist Omar (Rahul Bose) in New York. Now, Wisam leaves for the UK to complete his next mission. But to his shock, Omar, who is still alive, has planned something big in India this time around. How Wisam saves his country forms the crux of the story.

Vishwaroopam 2 answers questions left out in the first instalment, but the movie looks like all leftover scenes from the first part were stitched together. It lacks coherence and grip factor and it is dragging in parts, say the Telugu audience and critics.

#Vishwaroopam2 – (1.75/5) Attempt gone HAYWIRE…! Except the action episodes everything seems to be fall flat as it suffers from too many Subplots n also by adding up some desi stuff. In all, it is an excellent technical product but, lacks on SCREENPLAY n the GRIPPING factor.

#Vishwaroopam2 The second half of second part of Vishwaroopam is clumsy and yawning, though first half was somewhat okay. Looks like leftover scenes from the first part were stitched together to make this sequel/prequel. An incoherent film.

Raghava‏ @Raghava4mahesh

Screenplay is weak, these scenes have no connection as such to the main plot and he completely lost the opportunity of taking this franchise comfortably. #Vishwaroopam2 On the positive note , there are some very powerful dialogues depicting the patriotism of Wisam a Muslim agent Kamal Hassan, Andrea, Pooja Kumar shines in each and every scene. Direction is very weak! #Vishwaroopam2 Vishwaroopam2 It continues from where the first film ended. After the plan of Omar Qureshi (Rahul Bose ) to attack New York City is disrupted by RAW agent Wisam Ahmad ( Kamal Hassan ) #Vishwaroopam2 #Vishwaroopam2 : first half travelled with prequel and sequel Muslim gaa Kamal Cheppe Dialogue thappa yee scene ledu worthy gaa RAW agent character prequel has brilliant scenes in first one hour Interval bang Vishwaroopam lo #Vishwaroopam2 movie my rating 2/5 Kamal Haasan is decent performance, and tries to give his best. Writing and execution fails to impress the film a completely forgettable sequel. #Vishwaroopam2 : on the whole is a avoidable film. The film will have a tough time in box office.

#VISHWAROOPAM2 First Half: @ikamalhaasan is a master storyteller and VR2 proves it yet again. For someone of his stature, it’s really easy for him to dominate the proceedings. But you’ll absolutely love how he accommodates every actor without overshadowing them on screen. Wow #Vishwaroopam2 Top-Class Stuff. Well deserved sequel to a wonderful Part 1. Absolutely worth the wait. @ikamalhaasan and @GhibranOfficial the real heroes of the film. Well supported by @PoojaKumarNY and #Andrea.

#Vishwaroopam2 Intermission – It is enjoyable. Well written message oriented dialogues leave a strong impression. Waiting for Wisam and Omar’s confrontation.

Avg first half.. worst interval.. adem interval ra ayya.. malla dhaniki bgm okati #Vishwaroopam2 Is it necessary to put in those mother sentiment scenes in 2nd half? This is just left over scrap from 1st installment.. no logics and senseless it is.. the only plus point of #Vishwaroopam2 is ulaganayagan kamal.

Inspite of 22 cuts Vishwaroopam 2 has managed to create the buzz , who watched it say writer & director Kamal Hassan comes to fore in this sequel . It answers to various questions raised in Part 1 & each scene has a connection to the part 1 . #Vishwaroopam2 Writer & Director Kamal Hassan has completed the story of Vishwaroopam 1 in #Vishwaroopam2 , a different approach to a sequel where by he is not created a new story but instead completed the 1st story so has maintained the continuity. 1st part was USA & 2nd part shifts to UK.

Great Andhra Rating: 2

Vishwaroopam 2 is dull and boring with no coherent scenes. It is superficial sequel that is totally forgettable.

123 Telugu Rating: 2.25

Vishwaroopam 2 is a disappointing sequel which has nothing going it’s way. It’s confusing, lacks proper screenplay and does not have the expected popcorn action sequences which was highlight of the first part. As the sequel was made years before, the story and narration lack the contemporary touch. All those who want to see the legendary Kamal Haasan on screen after a long time can try this film out but the the others can take this action entertainer easy and look for something else.

Telugu 360 Rating: 2/5

Vishwaroopam2 is a disappointing sequel. 90 minutes stretched first half is a patience testing one, action episodes in this installment are of lesser scale compared to its 2013 installment. On a whole, this film is no match to its predecessor. Kamal Hassan’s efforts invain in this film.
