Amazon expands Whole Foods Market deliveries to several more areas

Amazon has announced that it has expanded the list of locations that it will make Whole Foods Market deliveries through Prime Now. The online retailer announced that Whole Foods Market products would now be delivered to Annapolis, Cleveland, Louisville, North and Central New Jersey, and Pittsburgh. It will also deliver to new locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Discussing the expansion, Christina Minardi, Whole Foods Market Executive Vice President of Operations, said:

“Prime Now delivery continues to be a hit with our customers and we’re excited to introduce the service in five new cities plus more neighborhoods in the San Francisco Bay Area. And for our customers in Dayton, Louisville and Omaha, we’re thrilled to also offer the option of grocery pickup. It’s just another way we’re making it even easier for more customers to enjoy Whole Foods Market’s healthy and organic food.”

With today’s expansion, deliveries are now available in 53 cities. Amazon confirmed that it plans to continue the expansion throughout the rest of the year. In addition, to the delivery expansion, shoppers can now make curbside grocery pickups from Whole Foods Market in three new cities including Dayton, Louisville, and Omaha. Curbside pickup launched in August and is currently available in eight cities with plans to expand this service too.
