Unai Emery has backed Liverpool to win the Premier League this season following Saturday’s draw.
“If you enjoy it as a spectacle then it is good,” he said.
“For our result this point is not enough but Liverpool is a very good test and at the moment we are continuing to work and improve and we are nearer to this performance going forward.
“In 90 minutes there are a lot of moments to control the match. It is not a bad point but we need more.
“Aubameyang doesn’t get the credit he deserves.”
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown
“They can win the Premier League this season, they play the final of the Europa League three years ago and last season they were in the final of the Champions League – they are a very good example for us.”
And some fans have criticised Emery after his decision to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with Aaron Ramsey against the Reds.
“Emery out,” one fan fumed.
Another commented: “Wow that’s huge.”
A third said: “Imagine Wenger making such a sub.”
While another fan said: “Thats an… interesting choice subbing our top goalscorer who has a good chance of getting us back in the game for Ramsey who will most likely be gone in January.”
Martin Keown believes Aubameyang is a better player than Liverpool counterpart Roberto Firmino.
“Aubameyang,” he said on BT Sport when asked which striker he’d prefer.
“If you look at the number of goals he’s scored since he’s been in the Premier League.
“He came in on February 8th, I think it was, and it’s only Mo Salah who has scored more than him.
“Aubameyang doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
“Firmino is important for Salah and Mane but Aubameyang is a better player.”
