BAYERN MUNICH stars attended Oktoberfest today with their wives and girlfriends.
The German giants are in the middle of a crisis on the pitch, with coach Niko Kovac coming under serious pressure.
Yesterday the Bundesliga champions lost 3-0 at home to Borussia Monchengladbach, following on from a 2-0 loss at Hertha Berlin and 1-1 draws with Augsburg and Ajax – the latter in the Champions League.
That poor run of form, after winning the first four league games of the season, has seen Bayern drop to fifth in the Bundesliga table, four points behind Borussia Dortmund and with Monchengladbach, Hertha and Werder Bremen between them and top spot.
But the poor form didn’t stop Die Roten make their annual trip to Oktoberfest today.
Kovac and his players all dressed up in traditional Bavarian outfits with leather lederhosen shorts.
Many of the players attended alongside their wives and girlfriends, who dressed in the traditional dirndl dresses.
Oktoberfest is the world’s largest beer festival with a funfair, and more than six million people attend the two-and-a-half week event each year.
The Bayern squad now face some respite with the international break, before a trip to Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday 20 October.
