JOSE MOURINHO will be sacked if Manchester United lose against Newcastle this evening.
That is the verdict of Southampton legend and Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier.
United were booed off in their goalless draw against Valencia on Tuesday, and The Mirror claim Mourinho will be sacked regardless of their result in the Premier League later today.
Pressure has been building on the Portuguese, with his side without a win in four games.
And disappointing losses to West Ham last weekend and Championship outfit Derby in the Carabao Cup have apparently tipped the United board over the edge.
“If they lose today against Newcastle United, you’d have to think that was it”

United are expected to end their winless streak against Rafa Benitez’s Magpies today, who have only picked up two points all season.
And former midfielder Le Tissier believes the match will be Mourinho’s last in charge if he fails to pick the three points against Newcastle.
“Nothing surprises me in football,” the ex-Southampton man said.
“You have people come out and give people votes of confidence and all of a sudden they’re gone.
“If they lose today against Newcastle United, you’d have to think that was it, even with what they’ve come out and said this morning.
“They obviously don’t expect to be losing this football match.
“But if they do, how will they carry on?
“How are they going to carry on?
“There is too much going on there behind the scenes and whatever for that to continue and for him to be able to turn that around and get Manchester United back to where they should be.
“I think that’s too difficult a job.”
Mourinho has named a much changed side for today’s match, recalling defender Eric Bailly and forward Anthony Martial despite publicly slamming them in recent weeks.
Club captain Antonio Valencia has been left out completely amid a conflict with Mourinho, while Paul Pogba keeps his place despite also having come to blows with the United boss.
