A WOMAN has died after falling from a busy shopping centre in Manchester in front of horrified shoppers.
Emergency services were scrambled to the horrifying scenes at Arndale Centre in the heart of the city this morning.
Paramedics desperately tried to save the woman, who had fallen from the roof of the centre’s car park onto a street below.
But the ambulance service soon confirmed the woman, whose age is not yet known, had died at the scene.

Police have also confimed another member of the public was treated for minor injuries believed to be caused by the fall.
A Greater Manchester Police statement reads: “Shortly after 11.10am on Saturday, police were called to Market Street in the city centre to reports that a woman was believed to have fallen from a building.
“Emergency services attended, but the woman sadly died at the scene.
“A number of road closures are in place in the nearby area. This will also impact the tram services.
“High Street is currently closed in both directions at the junction of Church Street to Shudehill.”
The incident forced the busy High Street at the side of the Arndale Centre to be closed in both directions.
Tram services which run through the busy area were also having to divert around the scene before resuming at 1pm.
