THE Novichok poison suspects were ridiculed last night over their claims they were innocent tourists.
Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov said they made two trips in two days to Salisbury after falling in love with its cathedral.
The Russian pair denied they had been sent to Britain to kill double agent Sergei Skripal.
Yesterday a string of online write-ups poked fun at their claims.
Florian wrote: “Forget about London, travel straight to Salisbury. Consider that the winter can be really rough, especially if you are from Russia and you are not used to 2cm of snow.”

And a spoof review on TripAdvisor said the trip was “eventful”.
Their accounts did not even convince fellow Russians.
The Novaya Gazette newspaper asked: “Why did the Kremlin agree to such nonsense?’’
