Cameras choose up what Aston Villa’s John Terry mentioned to Elmohamady in center of shootout win

Villa are set for a Wembley showdown at the end of the month where they will battle either Leeds or Derby for a place in the Premier League.

Dean Smith’s side broke the hearts of Midlands rivals West Brom last night as they triumphed in a penalty shootout.

The clash was tied at 2-2 after extra-time, meaning only spot-kicks could separate them.

And Tammy Abraham stroked home the winning penalty to send Villa through.

Jack Grealish put his side one ahead before James Morrison levelled for the hosts ahead of the final kick.

Abraham stepped up hoping to seal a famous win and one Villa player appeared to be confused about the significance of the penalty.

Elmohamady, who was taken off during extra-time, was caught on camera turning to Villa assistant John Terry for help.

Villa’s play-off success comes amid news that:

  • Jonathan Kodjia TAUNTED Chris Brunt following his red card
  • Jack Grealish has issued a Premier League war cry
  • Tammy Abraham has revealed a big target

“Do we need to score one more?”

After Grealish scored, Elmohamady was caught on camera asking Terry: “Do we need to score one more?”

The former Chelsea captain replied: “Yes.”

And Elmohamady proceeded to spread the news to his team-mates on the bench.

The Egyptian held one finger up to signal what needed to happen.

Cameras caught him mouthing: “We need to score one more.”

Abraham made no mistake and Villa will meet the winner of tonight’s other semi-final on May 26.

Leeds currently lead Derby 1-0 thanks to Kemar Roofe’s strike in the first leg.

But the striker will miss tonight’s game through injury and Derby will be keen to take advantage.

ASTON VILLA star Ahmed Elmohamady had to be reminded that his side were about to reach the play-off final yesterday.
