The Golden State Warriors have erased a 17-point deficit to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers and take a commanding 2-0 lead in the Western Conference finals.

The Warriors won 114-111 in Oakland on Thursday.

The home side dominated game one with a 22-point shellacking and appeared headed for a loss with the Trail Blazers leading for most of the game.

Portland were up by 17 points in the third quarter and held an eight-point lead with four minutes left in the final period.

Huge baskets by Steph Curry, who had 37 points, and a game-winning steal by Andre Iguodala on Portland’s Damian Lillard in the final seconds sealed the win.

The Warriors started Australian centre Andrew Bogut, but after just three minutes benched him for the rest of the game.

Lillard top-scored for Portland with 23 points.

Game three is in Portland on Saturday.
