Liverpool star Roberto Firmino posed for a picture with a baby while on the bench against Everton in bizarre scenes at Goodison Park.

The Brazilian forward was named among Jurgen Klopp’s substitutes for the Merseyside derby as he wasn’t fit enough to start following a recent ankle injury.

Firmino was watching the game from the bench when he was approached by a woman early in the second half.

Despite the match being in play, the woman asked Firmino whether he would pose for a picture with her baby, and the 27-year-old obliged.

Firmino seemed happy to fulfil the request, although fellow substitute Daniel Sturridge seemed rather bewildered by the situation.

In the 63rd minute Firmino entered the fray as he replaced Divock Origi.

Firmino went into the game having scored 11 goals in 36 appearances for Liverpool this season. He wasn’t able to add to his tally as the Reds were held to a goalless draw.

Having suffered an injury in the goalless draw with Manchester United last weekend, Firmino wasn’t involved in the 5-0 thrashing of Watford in midweek.
