A TEENAGE boy has been arrested in connection with nine sexual assaults on women in London, the Metropolitan Police said.
The 13-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was taken into custody on Thursday by police investigating the sexual assaults, Scotland Yard said.
The attacks happened over a five-week period in east London.
Most of them occurred around Blackwall Way in Poplar in the evening between September 6 and October 11.
The boy, who attended a police station in east London, has been bailed until late November as the investigation continues.
Scotland Yard has warned women walking alone at night to remain vigilant.
A Scotland Yard spokesman told The Sun Online: “A 13-year-old boy was arrested on Thursday, 1 November after attending an east London police station.
“He has since been bailed to a date in late November pending further enquiries.
“Extra patrols continue in the area to reassure the public”
