CHELSEA star Eden Hazard will wait until the New Year before deciding his Chelsea future.
The Belgian has been toying with the idea of a move to Real Madrid in recent months despite the pleas of Chelsea fans.
Hazard hasn’t let the transfer talk spoil his game though, starting the season in impressive form.
Sections of the Stamford Bridge faithful are resigned to the attacker leaving in the near future.
But according to the Telegraph, Hazard will wait until January to decide his future – mainly due to the uncertainty surrounding Real Madrid’s next manager.
Los Blancos sacked Julen Lopetegui earlier this week after a dismal start to the season.
But it is unclear who will replace the Spaniard in the Bernabeu hotseat.
Belgium manager Roberto Martinez is the current favourite to take over, which could draw Hazard to the club.
Speaking recently, the player said: “I’m going to stop. Let me put it this way, if I ever play for Real Madrid, I will be very happy, and if I will never play for Real Madrid, it is because it is not allowed.
“And then I will be happy at Chelsea.”
But pundit Danny Murphy thinks the Belgian will stay at Chelsea in the long-term.
“Hazard is the best player in the Premier League and I can see him staying at Chelsea for the long term, if he is offered the right contract,” he told Bwin.
“I think his family are happy in London and there’s no guarantee he would get that freedom and happiness at Real Madrid.
“I think Hazard could become Chelsea’s best player in history if he chooses to stay at the club.
“He has conducted himself so well throughout the speculation and the fans love him even more for it.”
