CHERYL is just weeks away from dropping her long awaited comeback single.
The track, which is called Love Made Me Do, is said to be a defiant girl power anthem referencing her split with One Direction superstar Liam Payne.
As well as the single, Cheryl’s upcoming album is also thought to be all but complete.
Over the past 12 months the former X Factor judge has worked with her Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Adams and her good fired and producer Naughty Boy.
However, one person who she appears to have kept away from the project is Will.I.Am.
The Black Eyed Peas star has revealed he hasn’t teamed up with Chezza at all on her new music – despite them being inseparable at the start of her solo career.
Chatting to Daily Star Online about Cheryl’s new record, Will.I.Am said: “I have just been working on a Black Eyed Peas album… it just came out.
“I dunno… I haven’t really been listening to anything.
“To be honest no, I haven’t heard anything.”
Explaining he puts himself on a music ban when working on a new record, Will continued: “I haven’t heard anyones new music and that is just because every time we do a Black Eyed Peas record we don’t listen to anybody else stuff, especially with this album.
“To be honest no, I haven’t heard anything”
“We have deliberately made an oath to not sound like anything out today so to make sure that we don’t I don’t listen to anything.”
Cheryl and Will first teamed up on his 2009 single Heartbreaker.
Then in 2010 Will featured on her single 3 Words.
Will also produced her second and third albums, Messy Little Raindrops and Cheryl.
Recently chatting to Daily Star Online about Cheryl’s upcoming fifth album, Naughty Boy said: “It was a good time to write with Cheryl.
“She is in a good space and she is so concerned about the songwriting aspect.
“People assume ‘oh it’s Cheryl Cole, she will just have the song written for her and she will sing it,’ – no, not this time.
“She wants to play a part and that’s what my involvement was – I wanted to draw from her.”
He added: “I think when you are writing songs there is a different vulnerability and that comes out through songwriting, so I am proud of her that she got more involved this time and not just as a singer.
“The lyrics really mean something to her – sometimes you have to put a bit of heart for people to see that there is a real struggle. It is 100% personal and it’s about time people got to know the real Cheryl.”
