CRISTIANO RONALDO makes Juventus Champions League contenders, according to Luis Figo.
The Portuguese superstar joined the Serie A champions in the summer in a shock move that surprised the footballing world.
And after a shaky start to life in Italy, Ronaldo appears to have found his goalscoring touch again.
He has netted seven in 10 league appearances, including a brace in his last match against Empoli.
The 33-year-old’s European campaign was also a slow burner, receiving a red card in his Champions League debut against Valencia.
It meant that he missed the game against Young Boys, but was available for the return to Old Trafford last week.
Ronaldo provided the assist for Paulo Dybala, who scored the only goal of the game.
But despite failing to score yet in Europe, former Real star Figo reckons that the Old Lady already have the advantage over their competitors.
“Juventus have more options now,” Figo told DAZN.
“Cristiano guarantees quality and goals because he is a winner — the best in the world.
“Juventus have more chances to win Champions League this year.”
Figo played with both Cristiano with Portugal and Brazilian striker Ronaldo at Real Madrid.
And he had always maintained that El Fenomeno was the better finisher – until recently.
“Until a few years ago I thought that the Brazilian was the best for scoring,” Figo said when asked about the two players.
“They both guarantee many goals.”
