Liverpool are set to hand Joe Gomez an improved contract, according to the Daily Mirror.
He has three-and-a-half years left on his current deal but Jurgen Klopp is eager to reward the up-and-coming defender.
Anfield bosses are negotiating with the 21-year-old and are confident of striking an agreement within months.
“He has a big future here at Liverpool, no doubt about that,” Jurgen Klopp said. “Joe is a very important part of the squad and it’s so nice to see.”
Fabinho is ‘bored’ at Anfield, according to Le Parisien.
Liverpool beat PSG to signing the midfielder from Monaco in the summer in a £43.7m deal.
Fabinho has found minutes on the pitch difficult to come by, however.
And it is claimed PSG fancy landing the Brazilian in January.
Real Betis are considering a move for Xherdan Shaqiri in the January transfer window.
Shaqiri has made a positive impression since his summer switch from Stoke City but competition for a place in Klopp’s team is intense.
According to El Gol Digital, La Liga outfit Real Betis fancy luring him way from Anfield.
It is claimed Klopp has identified Athletic Bilbao ace Iker Muniain as a potential replacement.
Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita will miss tomorrow’s Premier League clash against Arsenal but Mohamed Salah is fit amid a wrist problem.
Klopp told his pre-match press conference: “Hendo feels really good but it will be probably the start of the week when he will be back in training.
“Naby [will be the]end of this week. It doesn’t make a big difference match-wise, but that’s how it looks.
“Mo, it is nothing really serious; it’s a kind of inflammation of the tendon. That’s pretty much all, it [the support]was only for protection – the pictures you saw were only protection and it has no influence.”
