ALDI has launched a foldable beach mat which comes with its own backrest.
The mat, which either comes in two shades of blue or an orange colour, is ideal for people who are camping, going to the beach or just relaxing in their garden.
The back rest is adjustable and it comes with a pillow to add an extra layer of comfort.
It includes a handle and shoulder strap, meaning that it transports easily – plus there’s a zipped storage bag for any valuables.
There’s also magazine and newspaper storage so you can still catch up on news and gossip while relaxing.
Aldi has given the chair a 36 month warranty, so if it breaks within that time frame you can take it back and get a new one or your money back.
It’s proven popular with shoppers as Aldi only launched it online yesterday and it’s already sold out.
But you can still get it in store – just use the locator tool to find your nearest branch and ring to check if there are any in stock.
It was spotted in one store by an Aldi shopper, who posted it in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.
She said: “Happy with my find today at Aldi. Ideal for visits to the beach. Folds up with a shoulder strap and a zip pouch on the back.”
Other shoppers were impressed with the deal and said they would also be snapping one up.
One asked the original poster: “How much was it?” to which she said: “£9.99, had three colours.”
She then responded: “What a bargain.”
One mum asked if it could fit in a suitcase, which someone else said: “I bought one in Spain last year and managed to get it in my case to bring it home.”
Go Outdoors has a similar version in orange, but it’s £4 more expensive at £14.
Delivery starts from £3.95 but click and collect is free.
For shoppers who want something a bit sturdier, Argos is selling a foldable sun bed in four different colours – pink, teal, leopard print and tropical fruit print – but they start from £25.
Delivery is also extra if you’re buying it online. Prices for Argos start from £3.95. Click and collect is free.
Meanwhile Lidl is selling sunloungers with built-in face shade which doubles up as a trolley.
But it’s £10 more than Aldi’s, costing £19.99. You can also only buy it in store as Lidl doesn’t do online shopping.
B&M is selling a more basic lounger for £20 at the moment, and it comes in green, blue or pink.
The Range has this lime green lounger for £24.99, which comes in green and white, lime or rosy pink.
However, it’s currently out of stock.
Aldi’s foldable sun mat isn’t the only summer item it’s launched recently.
It started selling an inflatable kayak after Lidl’s sold out in one day.
It’s part of the discount supermarket’s summer range, which includes a 12ft swimming pool and garden swing set.
For those who want more of a permanent place of relaxation in their garden, Lidl is selling a hammock for £40.
