ALDI is selling an ice cream van cardboard cut out for shoppers to colour in – and it’s a bargain.

Setting you back £6.99 at the discounter, it could be a cheap way to entertain the little ones at home.

The cut out measures roughly 80cm tall and is suitable for kids above four years old.

It’s made from thick cardboard that you’ll need to assemble yourself.

The ice cream van has already sold out on Aldi’s website, so you’ll need to pop by a store to get your hands on one.

The Sun has asked the discounter whether it’s available in all stores nationwide, and we’ll update this article once we hear back.

In the meantime and to avoid disappointment, it’s worth giving your nearest store a call before you pop over to ask if it has any stock.

Aldi has more than 875 stores across the UK. You can find your nearest shop by using its store locator tool.

The van was shared by a shopper in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, who wrote: “Thought this was a absolute bargain for only £6.99 in Aldi when the ones similar Hobbycraft sell are always over £15.

“It’s huge and good quality. Let the colouring commence!”

The post has proved popular and has so far racked up roughly 1,100 likes and 1,100 comments, with one user saying: “Something to look out for when you go shopping.”

While another added: “Kids would love these.”

Aldi is also selling similar colour-in cardboard cut outs in the shape of a pirate ship and a lemonade stand for the same £6.99 price tag.

Before you buy either of them, just keep in mind that the packs don’t include paint, pens or pencils.

Aldi’s offering the cheapest price we could find, with Cardboardmagic.com selling a cardboard ice cream van to colour in for £42, excluding the £6.50 delivery fee.

Or if you’re not fussed about the ice cream van design, Hobbycraft is selling a cardboard playhouse to colour in for £17.

This is available in stores as well as online, with a £4.50 delivery charge.

In other shopping news for the kids, Aldi is selling a mud kitchen for children to play with in the garden.

Aldi’s garden swing is also the next must-have garden toy for the summer.

Plus, the discounter’s baby and toddler sale is coming back – with prices starting from 79p.
