Parents have been raving about these £20 children’s shoes from Asda saying they’re just like Clarks’ Magic Steps from the 90s.
In a trip down memory lane for many mums, they can’t wait to offer their children a taste of the must-have shoes from when they were little themselves.
Magic Step shoes came with a special key which revealed a picture embedded in the sole.
Now Asda is selling a line of shoes with toys of Elsa, Batman and Spiderman in the heels.
And after one shopper spotted them on shared their find on Facebook, thousands of people from the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group reacted to the news.
“Does anyone remember the Lelly kelly shoes with the doll at the bottom from years and years ago,” the original poster wrote.
“Just found these in Asda my twins are obsessed £20.
“Edit- might have been Clark’s not Lelly Kelly.”
The post proved wildly popular, with thousands of people liking, reacting and commenting on it.
One wrote: “Clark’s magic keys. Key in the bottom of shoe and you got a key badge too!
“I’m 35 in a fortnight so that’s going back some years haha! Best shoes ever!”
Another added: “They were called magic steps from Clark’s and they had a key, if you lost the key you were screwed unless you had a friend who also had a pair. I always used to have them.”
A third said: “Yes can remember those shoes from Clarks also can remember a key to get in the bottom of them for a secret surprise…
