With low-cost lip filler options, the cosmetic specialist is attracting a global clientele.

Dr. Tijion Esho, cosmetic surgeon and founder of Esho clinics and the ESHO line, is the subject of this week’s 30-second interview.

After my father gave me five career options – doctor, dentist, lawyer, engineer, or accountant – I decided to train as a surgeon in the NHS.

My Nigerian parents were preparing me for life as a black man in the United Kingdom, and they wanted to give me the best chance they could.

I was introduced to non-surgical aesthetic work, from lasers to injectables, while training to be a doctor, and I fell in love with it right away.

I founded the Esho Clinic in 2013 with locations in London and Newcastle, with the goal of creating a unique facial rejuvenation experience that would provide state-of-the-art botox, dermal fillers, and cosmetic treatments after graduating and venturing into aesthetics as a cosmetic doctor.

With patients from 50 countries, the ESHO Clinic now has a global clientele.

This year, I launched ESHO, the world’s first cosmeceutical lip care line. After years of specializing in lips, I combined all of the techniques and methods I’d learned to create a collection of four hero lip products that are an affordable topical alternative to lip fillers.

There have been numerous pinch-me moments, including the ESHO line’s success.

With four separate sellouts in its first three months, we are on track to become the fastest growing doctor-led cosmeceutical brand in the UK, and it is now officially the fastest selling lip product of all time on QVC. We have also just received a valuation of £3 million.

When a young adult or a teenager tells me that they want to pursue medicine because of me, it humbles me and reminds me that my accomplishments aren’t just for myself and my family, but also for my community.

Since the pandemic, life has been a rollercoaster.

We had to close our clinics when it first happened, and I received a letter asking me to return to the NHS to assist with the coronavirus crisis in hospitals.

Roman, my young son, became ill as well and was admitted to the hospital with a suspected infection.
