After being deported from Italy, Joe Giudice is fighting to return to the United States.

The former Real Housewives of New Jersey star and Teresa Giudice’s ex is fighting to return to the United States a year and a half after being deported to his native Italy after serving nearly three years in federal prison for fraud and spending another seven months in an ICE detention center.

The Bravo alum, 19, told E! News that his manager, Dominique Enchinton of Dominton Talent House, put him in touch with attorney Jessica Cadavid to begin the process of getting him to the United States.

According to the US Customs and Border Protection website, the waiver will “allow certain inadmissible foreign nationals to enter the United States temporarily as nonimmigrants.”

“I believe I deserve one because I served my sentence for a mistake that I deeply regret,” the 49-year-old actress said in an E! News statement.

“It cost me my life and my family’s lives.”

It was a poor decision on my part, and I deeply regret it.”

“If I could go back in time, knowing what I know now and everything I’ve learned, I would never make that mistake,” he continued.

I’ve put in long hours every day to prove myself.”

“Sometimes good people make bad mistakes,” the former Bravolebrity explained, but that doesn’t mean they have to pay the price with a “lifetime of judgment and torture.”

“I pray for a miracle that it’s sooner,” Joe said, adding that he believes it “could take up to a year” to receive answers about returning to the US.

The actor, who has four daughters with ex-wife Teresa—Gia, 20, Gabriella, 17, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 12—said he communicates with his family on a regular basis.

He explained, “I talk to my kids all the time on the phone or FaceTime.”

“Gia was just here a few minutes ago.”

“My kids see each other as much as they can, but it’s not the same as if I were..”
