AJ Bunker says he spent £1k on filler to look young for Love Island and had four lots in a month, but was labeled a ‘granny.’

AJ Bunker felt pressured to look “perfect” for TV when she was told she’d landed a spot on Love Island as a “bombshell” sent in to stir things up and steal someone’s man.

The 28-year-old former hair extension technician, who had her sights set on Liam Reardon, 22, and Hugo Hammond but was ignored by everyone, had cheek filler three times in a MONTH to “fix” a tiny line under her eye.

Trolls dubbed her “granny AJ” after the injections left her with “hamster” cheeks.

“I panicked when I found out I was going into the Villa,” Andrea-Jane, from Dunstable, Bedfordshire, tells Fabulous.

I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to get cheek filler, and once I had it done, I couldn’t stop.

“I need more, I need more,” I thought.

“I was hoping it would make me look younger because I had this line under my eye that I mistook for a big wrinkle or an eye bag, and I didn’t want to appear tired.”

I spent all of this money, but it had the exact opposite effect.

“I was so focused on getting rid of this one line that I didn’t notice how much it altered the shape of my face.”

It wasn’t until I saw myself on TV that I realized, “Oh my God, that doesn’t even look like me.”

My chubby cheeks made me look like a hamster.”

AJ spent over £1,000 on fillers, with 0.5ml cheek and 1ml lip injections costing £250 each.

Dr. Ahmed El Muntasar, another professional, has since informed her that the “botched” cheek fillers were injected “incorrectly” and in the wrong part of her face.

“Someone should have said, ‘no, you’ve had enough,’ but they kept taking my money,” AJ says.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but that process was making my face look worse.

“When you go on Love Island, there is definitely pressure to look a certain way.”

It wasn’t because of the casting crew; rather, it was because of past contestants and popular Instagram girls.

“Rather than learning to love myself and my flaws, I was chasing this generic idea of perfection.”

You think to yourself, “I’m going to be on TV, I need to look like this, that’s how girls on TV look.”

“I didn’t have any filler when I did my auditions because I applied for last year’s show (which was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic).”

As a result, the producers were probably thinking, “What happened to her face?”

I was terrified when I learned I would be entering the Villa.

I made the decision to get cheek filler…
