Amanda Holden reveals she covered her nipples in make-up so they wouldn’t show through her dress on Britain’s Got Talent

AMANDA Holden has told how she covered her nipples in make-up so they wouldn’t show through her sheer gowns on Britain’s Got Talent.

The telly judge, 49, revealed her secret wardrobe tip after hundreds of viewers complained to Ofcom about her slinky dresses.

Over the course of the series Amanda’s plunging gowns were the talk of Twitter and one viewer even insisted she had “forgotten her dress” after she donned a lace number with a thigh high split for the show’s semi-final.

Another suggested she had popped down to a lingerie shop for her outfit before the semi-final last weekend.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, Amanda shared the trick that ensured she wouldn’t expose herself.

Speaking to presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, the star called her boobs her “girls” as she remarked: “That dress was double lined.

“And I had make-up on the girls, so nothing was coming through.”

Piers, who has been the subject of Ofcom complaints himself over his GMB interviews, later said: “If Ofcom complaints decided what happened on telly I wouldn’t be here and you wouldn’t be there.

“People just complaining because they feel uncomfortable, well that’s not enough.”

In one episode of BGT, Amanda’s sexy outfit sent fans into a tizzy as they questioned whether the star had suffered a wardrobe malfunction.

Amanda laughed at the complaints and said in another recent chat: “I can see what people think…

“I was more insulted that people thought I had either huge saucepan nipples or nipples over my cleavage.

“I am seriously thinking my girls (boobs) need separate representation to me, because they are known on their own. They don’t need me, they’re going to go off and do Piers Morgan’s Life Stories on their own next year!”
