Another impressive buy rate for AEW Full Gear 2021.
With the Full Gear event at the Target Center in Minneapolis this past weekend, All Elite Wrestling wrapped up its pay-per-view schedule for 2021.
While the show didn’t have the same buy rate as All Out from September (reportedly 200,000, the highest in company history), it still managed to bring in a healthy 145,000 viewers, according to early estimates from Wrestlenomics.
Once late buys are taken into account, the final number for the show is expected to be slightly higher.
While All Out marked the return of CM Punk to the ring after a seven-year absence, Full Gear featured a packed card that included matches with Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Adam Cole, as well as homegrown talent like Britt Baker, The Lucha Brothers, MJF, and Darby Allin.
Furthermore, the show featured a main event with a storyline that had been in the works for years, as Hangman Page defeated Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship.
The fallout from Saturday’s event will most likely be featured on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
