Carole Baskin refuses to help in the search for her missing husband.

Carole Baskin refuses to cooperate in the case of her husband’s disappearance.

Carol Baskin, a cat lover, has resurfaced in the wake of the release of Netflix’s Tiger King 2.

The highly anticipated follow-up docuseries has reignited interest in Baskin’s former husband Jack “Don” Lewis’ disappearance and presumed death.

On Thursday, November 1, Tiger King 2 was made available to stream on Netflix.

Lewis was Baskin’s second husband, and he was a major character in Tiger King’s first season.

He is said to have rescued Baskins from an abusive marriage with her first husband.

They met in 1981 while running Wildlife on Easy Street, a bobcat rescue in Tampa, Florida.

In 2003, the company was dissolved and renamed Big Cat Rescue Corp.

Baskin still owns and runs the sanctuary, which houses 50 exotic cats such as lions, bobcats, and servals.

Lewis vanished in 1997, and no one knows where he is.

His van was discovered with the on the floorboard of a remote airport in Pasco County.

Lewis was said to be an amateur pilot who owned a small plane, according to sources close to him.

Lewis’ lawyer, Joe Fritz, claims Lewis was lured to the airport with a business opportunity and then thrown from a plane in the middle of the flight.

Fritz told Fox Nation, “What I had heard was that he was strangled from the backseat of an airplane at 50 feet over the Gulf [of Mexico]and dropped out over the Gulf.”

Lewis was never found, but five years after his disappearance, he was officially declared dead.

He died in an unknown manner and at an unknown time.

Baskin, on the other hand, has been suspected of being involved in Lewis’ death for a long time.

Many claimed they heard Baskin kill Lewis and feed him to her beloved tigers during the first season of the show.

Baskin, of course, denies this, as well as any involvement.

With the success of Tiger King, Lewis’ case was reopened in 2020.

“We contacted and followed up on well over 200 leads,” lead detective Corporal Moises Garcia told reporters on Nov.

NBC Tampa reports that the number is 18.

Lewis’ flight records, as well as other federal documents and reports, have been discovered since the case was reopened.

They gathered his daughters’ DNA and now have an age-progressed photo of what he might look like right now if he’s discovered alive.

A number of characters from the Tiger King series were interviewed by the detectives.

Baskin, on the other hand, is reportedly refusing to cooperate.
