CORONATION Street fans have predicted Geoff will be caught bribing Yasmeen by a prison phone call recording.
Abuser Geoff has been desperate to contact his wife Yasmeen in prison as she remains locked up, falsely accused of abusing him.
In tonight’s episode Geoff overheard Yasmeen’s granddaughter Alya talking about how she was expecting a phone call from her gran later in the afternoon – and he decided to act.
Stealing her phone from Speed Daal, Geoff headed home and shocked Yasmeen when he answered her call.
When she asked why he had picked up, Geoff replied: “I have a proposition for you.”
It will be revealed next week how Geoff will use the call to try and manipulate Yasmeen into being his wife again.
Grovelling, he promises to forgive her and drop the charges against her if she agrees to come home as his wife.
But viewers think his latest ploy will come back to haunt him and hopefully help show his true colours to police.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Calls from prison are supposed to be recorded, but what’s the betting Geoff’s threats to Yasmeen aren’t acknowledge. #CoronationStreet.”
Another added: “I hope @itvcorrie producers realise all prison calls are recorded so Geoff can be punished for calling Yasmeen. Ugh he really gets under my skin -.- #coronationstreet #corrie.”
A third tweeted: “Calls should be recorded dob him in out you go simples #corrie #CoronationStreet.”
Meanwhile a fellow viewer wrote: “So your telling me that Yasmeen just miraculously decided to keep talking to her abuser on a phone call (that is being recorded btw) and just decides to listen to him? Girl…. seriously? #CoronationStreet #Corrie.”
