Despite remaining silent about the Astroworld disaster, Khloe Kardashian sparks outrage over her’reaction’ to Kyle Rittenhouse’s verdict.
KHLOE Kardashian has been slammed after it was claimed she reacted to Kyle Rittenhouse’s verdict after remaining silent after the Astroworld tragedy.
Hours after Rittenhouse, 18, was acquitted of fatally shooting two men during protests and riots against police brutality last year, the 37-year-old tweeted that she was “speechless and disgusted.”
However, some Twitter users slammed the reality star for what they claimed was a remark on Rittenhouse’s not guilty verdict on Friday.
This is due to her failure to issue a statement in the wake of the Astroworld tragedy earlier this month.
“Speechless and disgusted!!” she tweeted late Friday night, hours after Rittenhouse was found not guilty on all counts.
A jury found the teen not guilty of reckless and intentional homicide and other charges stemming from shootings in Kenosha, Wisconsin, during a Black Lives Matter riot in August 2020.
Khole’s statement was posted without context, but given the news of the verdict, Twitter users assumed she was referring to the trial’s outcome.
“I’m pretty sure you’re talking about Rittenhouse,” one said, “but given that you didn’t say much about AstroWorld, a lot of people are about to turn those three words against you.”
“What are you referring to, the innocent lives lost at Travis’s concert, or…?” someone else asked.
On November 8, ten people died at a concert organized by Travis Scott, Khole’s half-sister Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend.
The tragedy occurred after a crowd of about 50,000 people rushed the stage, crushing and trampling people.
Kylie, Kim, and Kendall all issued statements in the aftermath of the shocking news, but Khole remained silent.
She posted a sultry set of photos on Instagram three days after one of America’s worst-ever concert disasters.
“People are dead, Khloe,” one person wrote beneath.
