During a rambling Late Night Interview, ‘Succession’ star Nicholas Braun got real-life cousin Greg vibes.

During a rambling Late Night interview, ‘Succession’ star Nicholas Braun had real-life cousin Greg Vibes.

During a 2019 appearance on a late-night talk show, Nicholas Braun reminded Succession fans of his wide-eyed fish-out-of-water character Cousin Greg.

He fumbled through a story about meeting former President Bill Clinton, and the way he fumbled the story was both cringey and endearing.

Braun appeared on Stephen Colbert’s Late Show in 2019 and, like most talk show guests, brought an interesting story with him.

The actor even admitted he looked a lot like his Succession character Cousin Greg at one point.

Braun’s story about meeting Clinton seemed to last an eternity.

While it was difficult to watch, viewers were treated to a glimpse of the Cousin Greg vibe in real life.

If Colbert hadn’t been there to gently guide the actor back on track, the actor’s nerves might have completely overwhelmed him.

Was the story ever going to end? It went on far longer than it should have, but it was sweet to see the host lend a hand to Braun and (eventually) get to the meat of the story.

The interview got off to a shaky start when Braun took his seat and revealed that this was his first appearance on a late-night talk show.

He confessed, “Right now I’m blacking out.”

Braun’s co-star Jeremy Strong, who plays Kendall Roy, invited him to a party at the start of the story.

Braun had to get to the Hamptons for a party, so he took the “sweaty” Long Island Rail Road.

Braun stated that he isn’t swanky enough to arrive by helicopter anywhere.

He joked, “In life, I’m still Greg — I’m basically just Greg.”

Colbert cracked up and shook hands with the actor, who was well aware of his long-winded storytelling, joking, “I was told to milk this.”

With a little help from Colbert, he eventually arrived at the party — and the point of the story was quickly approaching.

Braun recalled meeting the Clintons and Bill pitching Succession ideas to them.

Colbert was taken aback when he heard Braun refer to Clinton by his first name.

“You call the president of the United States ‘Bill,’ and this is your first meeting with him?” Colbert wondered.

“I’ve talked to him five times.”

I’ve spent an entire day with the man, and I’d never call a US president ‘Bill.'”

On the YouTube video of Braun’s appearance, Succession fans left comments.

Many people have commented on how much he resembles his Succession…
