EastEnders fans go wild as old Peter Beale played by Thomas Law returns in classic episode

EASTENDERS fans were delighted when the “old Peter Beale”, played by Thomas Law, returned in a classic episode last night.

The BBC One soap repeated Syed Masood’s wedding to Amira which was originally shown in 2010.

While the main story revolved around Christian’s heartache at Syed’s nuptials, and Syed’s pain as he came out as gay to his mother Zainab just moments before the ceremony, viewers were distracted by the vintage cast.

Old favourites including Heather Trott, Darren Miller, and Squiggle featured in the episode – as well as the fifth of seven actors to take on the role of Ian Beale’s son Peter.

Peter, who is Christian’s nephew, featured in a key scene between Christian and Syed after asking his uncle to go with him to give the bride and groom some money from his parents because he was “embarrassed” to go alone.

EastEnders fans at home went wild when they spotted him, taking to Twitter to share their reaction.

One wrote: “OMG! THOMAS LAW was Peter I forgot that he was in this episode.”

Another added: “OMG where did Peter Beale two faces ago popped up from?!”

A third gushed: “If you didn’t have a crush on Peter Beale back in the day, were you even British?”

Thomas played the character between 2006 and 2010, and the role has been taken on by two more stars since then – Ben Hardy, who later left for Hollywood success, and newbie Dayle Hudson who made his debut earlier this year.

Last month, Thomas, who is now 27, showed off a jaw-dropping transformation as he stripped topless on Instagram.

He wowed fans with his rippling six-pack in the sultry snap, which he admitted was the result of strict workouts with his personal trainer.

After finding fame as Peter, Thomas went on to appear in Casualty, and ITV series The Bay.

He is also an avid singer and plays guitar, regularly sharing videos with followers.
