Florian Munteanu, star of ‘Shang-Chi,’ teases more Razor Fist in the digital version of Marvel’s film (exclusive)
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is now streaming on Disney(plus) and will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD in November.
While the theatrical version received a lot of praise, the Marvel film’s home release will offer a lot more to fans.
Florian Munteanu, who portrays Razor Fist in Shang-Chi, spoke with PopCulture.com recently.
In the digital and DVD versions of the film, the 31-year-old actor teased that fans will see more of Razor Fist.
“To be honest with you, there was a lot more Razor Fist in the final cut than we actually see,” Munteanu told PopCulture.
“Obviously, when you work so hard on a character and so hard on different scenes, it breaks your heart a little bit when you find out that certain scenes didn’t make the cut because you were so excited about them or you worked so hard for them,” she says.
Fortunately, the DVD is coming out soon, and the Disney(plus) release is approaching, so we’ll get to see a few of the deleted scenes.
Because they show a lot more of Razor Fist, I’m excited for people to see it.
They go over his backstory in greater detail, as well as explain or demonstrate what kind of person he is.”
Razor Fist is a Ten Rings member with a machete blade in his right hand.
According to his father’s request, he goes after Shang-Chi (Simu Liu).
While Razor First is initially portrayed as a villain in the film, this is not always the case by the end.
“He isn’t just a soldier who fights,” Munteanu explained.
“There’s so much more to him, so much more heart and emotion.”
And, as you mentioned, those scenes would have been nice to include.
However, you must work as part of a group.
This was Shang-Chi’s origin story, and it was critical that we did so.
We’ve arrived in Marvel’s universe.
We have so many options now, and I can’t wait to show the public more of Razor Fist.”
Munteanu is a Hollywood up-and-comer.
