Hailee Steinfeld teases working with Florence Pugh on ‘Hawkeye,’ saying, ‘We Just Had Similar Energy.’

Many Marvel fans are anticipating the upcoming Marvel Disney(plus) series Hawkeye, in which two young actors will share the screen.

In the show, Florence Pugh will play Yelena Belova, who she played in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In Hawkeye, Hailee Steinfeld will play Kate Bishop, who will team up with Clint Barton to fight bad guys.

To tease the fans, Steinfeld talked about what it was like working on the Marvel series with Pugh.

The MCU introduced Yelena Belova in Black Widow, and before Florence Pugh and Hailee Steinfeld shared the screen in Hawkeye, the MCU introduced Yelena Belova in Black Widow.

Yelena is Natasha Romanoff’s adopted sister in the film, and the two reunite after years apart.

Yelena received the same Red Room training as Natasha, and she is a skilled assassin.

Alexei, their adopted father, is released from prison, and the two reunite with their adopted mother, Melina.

The four of them band together to disband the Black Widows and eliminate Dreykov for good.

They complete their mission, but Black Widow was always going to be a downer.

Between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, Black Widow takes place, and it premiered after Avengers: Endgame.

Natasha was dead in the present, so fans knew that going into the movie.

Yelena pays a visit to Natasha’s grave in a post-credits scene.

Yelena’s new boss, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, arrives and assigns Clint Barton as her next target.

Of course, this will be Yelena’s motivation for visiting New York City in Hawkeye and meeting Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld.

Hailee Steinfeld knew she and her Hawkeye co-star Florence Pugh would get along right away, according to Cosmopolitan (via ComicBook.com).

“Oh, one hundred percent,” Steinfeld said.

That was something I immediately felt.

And I pray to God that she would say the same.

Oh, my gosh,

Now that I say it, I’m thinking, ‘I knew from the beginning!’ And what if she was like, ‘This girl?’ No, I think we just had similar energy.”

“We were shooting together and something went wrong.”

There was no way to get out of it.

Someone thought I was crying because I started laughing so hard,” Steinfeld recalled.

“I’m not sure how that reflects on my laugh.”

“I just remember a flood of people rushing in and asking, ‘Is everyone…?'” she continued.
