HOLLYOAKS bosses have cast former Coronation Street and Bad Girls actor James Gaddas as the soap’s latest villain.
The star will join the series as Warren’s former carer – who has a history with Felix too.
The actor, who is best known for playing Vinny Sorrell on Corrie and prison officer Neil Grayling on classic ITV drama Bad Girls from 2002 – 2006, has joined the channel 4 soap as Cormac Ranger, Warren Fox’s former carer at the children’s home.
The character – who is also thought to have history with fellow show regular Felix Westwood (played by Richard Blackwood) – will make his on screen debut next week.
James, who has also appeared in a number of other high profile TV shows including Emmerdale, Outlander and Waterloo Road, is thought to have started filming just weeks before the soap was forced to shut down due to the pandemic.
James’s character is also set to kick off one of the soap’s biggest plots of the year.
Earlier this week fans were left stunned as Warren found out his arch nemesis Felix was abused by his mentor when they were kids.
Warren had opened up to Sienna, Broady and Liberty about his difficult childhood, which involved newcomer Felix putting him through hell.
But as Warren discussed how Cormac was the only one to look out for him when he was younger, Felix revealed scars on his back from when Cormack used to beat him.
Viewers are set to see a confused Warren arrange to meet and confront Cormac about Felix’s claims.
The story develops as Felix also comes face to face with his accused abuser.
