Jim Bob Duggar’s Arkansas State Senate campaign appears doomed from the start.

From the beginning, Jim Bob Duggar’s campaign for Arkansas State Senate appears doomed.

Jim Bob Duggar ran for office at an interesting time.

In October, the Counting On star announced his candidacy for the Arkansas State Senate.

He’s also running on a platform of family values.

Simultaneously, Jim Bob’s oldest son Josh Duggar is set to go on trial on November 30.

The 33-year-old faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison for possessing child pornography.

Given the circumstances, Jim Bob’s campaign appears to be doomed.

Jim Bob’s run for state senator in Arkansas isn’t his first foray into politics.

Jim Bob was first elected to the Arkansas House of Representatives in 1998.

He was elected for four years before losing in the 2002 election.

Jim Bob said he was running for office again because these are “unprecedented times in our country” when he announced his campaign for State Senate on Facebook.

“With government mandates that force people to choose between earning a paycheck and violating their personal rights and beliefs,” Jim Bob said in his statement, “out-of-control bureaucrats have put politics over common-sense policy.”

“Our country’s founding principles are under attack like never before.

We need a strong pro-family, pro-business, pro-gun, and pro-life voice now more than ever.”

More than 200 Springdale voters turned out for Jim Bob’s recent campaign event at his home.

Regardless of what is going on in Jim Bob’s family, a number of people in his community share his political views.

“I am truly honored and humbled that more than 200 people came to our house Tuesday night to show their support for my Senate campaign!” Jim Bob exclaimed.

“Springdale is my home, and I am dedicated to serving the residents of this wonderful town.”

Conservatives must demand bold leadership that prioritizes Arkansas families, jobs, and constitutional liberties.

We can make an impact if we work together!”

His social media campaign, on the other hand, has gotten a mixed response.

Thousands of negative comments flooded Jim Bob’s Facebook page after he announced his candidacy.

“Take care of your son’s problems before you throw the whole family out…
