Katie Price ‘heartbroken’ as she is forced to leave Harvey behind as doctors rule him unfit to go on holiday to Turkey

KATIE Price is ‘heartbroken’ at being forced to leave son Harvey behind on doctor’s orders when she goes on holiday to Turkey this week.

The mum-of-five had planned to take the 18-year-old away with her, new boyfriend Carl Woods, 31, and her children Junior, 15, and Princess, 13.

But doctor’s have ruled Harvey unfit to travel after he was released from hospital earlier this week after 10 days – including time spent in intensive care.

A source told us: “Doctors told Katie it would be better for Harvey’s health if he stayed at home. She’s heartbroken but of course she’ll take doctors advice.

“Harvey will stay at home with his carer and Katie will still go – she’s taking Princess and Junior and some of their friends and she didn’t want to cancel their holiday and let them down, especially as Princess’s birthday party was disrupted by Harvey going to hospital. “

A representative for Katie confirmed her devastation and said she had decided to go ahead for the benefit of her other kids.

“Katie has had to make the heartbreaking decision to keep Harvey at home after doctors advised he should remain in the UK after his most recent hospital stay,” said the spokesman.

“For Katie this past week has been a traumatic one. Spending time now with both Princess and Junior is just as equally important as the time she has spent dedicated to Harvey.

“As a mother of five, Katie has learnt that she must divide her love five ways – not any easy task – but still she remains focused on being the best mother to them all.

“Harvey will remain in the wonderful care of his carer and with his youngest siblings Jett and Bunny.”

Last night Princess shared her own heartache after new pup Rolo passed away.

She posted snaps of the late pup on social media and expressed her grief.

The source added: “They all need a break, especially after Rolo’s death.”

Katie previously thought Harvey would be going along on the trip after getting the all clear from medics.

But it appears they have made a U-turn, and Katie is putting Harvey’s safety first.

The holiday is a huge step for Katie and Carl, with the pair being friends for years but only being set up romantically by a mutual pal in June.

Despite the relationship still being fresh, Katie hinted that she wants to marry the ex Love Island star – with the hunk being her rock of support while Harvey was in hospital.

The Sun Online revealed earlier this week that Harvey had returned home after getting the all clear from doctors, with Katie beaming: “It feels like Christmas. I can’t stop smiling.

“The day started badly but it’s ending as the best day ever.”

The mother-of-five was left devastated when her eldest child was rushed to hospital after he suffered breathing problems and his temperature shot to 42C.

He was admitted to intensive care due to the “complex” nature of his medical needs, and a friend previously told us that the worried mum was preparing for the worst.

Harvey tested negatively for deadly coronavirus, and once he improved Katie shared photos from hospital as she updated fans.

Carl is Katie’s first relationship since she split from ex-fiancé Kris Boyson last November, with the star married three times in the past.

In addition to Carl, her ex-husbands Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler have been supporting her through Harvey’s health battle, with Katie sharing two children with each man.

She and Kieran are mum and dad to six-year-old Jett and five-year-old Bunny, and Peter Andre shares 15-year-old Junior and 13-year-old Princess with the former glamour model./bright
