KERRY Katona’s daughter Heidi Croft has revealed just how “terrifying” her The Voice audition was after shocking viewers with her incredible singing voice.

The talented 13-year-old left fans stunned as she took to the stage in front of coaches Paloma Faith, Danny Jones, will.i.am and Pixie Lott on the ITV show this weekend.

During the show, Heidi belted out Macy Gray’s I Try and had her singer mum in tears as she watched backstage.

Her powerful performance was enough to impress the judges with Paloma welcoming Heidi onto her team, much to Kerry’s delight.

Taking to Instagram Stories today, the teen admitted she was terrified ahead of her standout performance.

She also opened up on how she deals with anxiety on stage.

Addressing her 10.1k followers, Heidi said: “I kind of just push through it I guess.

“I was nervous. It was scary but I feel like I was more nervous than scared. It definitely was scary.”

She later added: “If you watched me, you know I did cry. People say to imagine the audience naked but it doesn’t work. I just look up above them.”

Heidi also revealed she had planned to pick will.i.am as her mentor before eventually settling on Paloma.

The youngster went on: “When Will turned, I was like ‘Oh my god, oh my god’. I was going to pick him but all the crowd was going, ‘Paloma Paloma, Paloma’ so I went for her.

“I’m happy that I picked her.”

Giving insight into the audition process, Heidi told followers that Kerry had drove her down to the audition late last year.

The former Atomic Kitten star and her daughter were joined by Heidi’s siblings Molly, 18, Max, 12, and Dylan-Jorge, six, as well as boyfriend Ryan Mahoney.

“You have to go through audition with producers,” Heidi continued.

“We started filming last year, at Christmas time. I remember my mum had to drive me down. It was an amazing experience, it’s so inspiring.”

Following the show on Saturday, Kerry shared her pride on Instagram, writing: “Soooooo bloody proud of my baby girl @heidikatona she was so nervous but she didn’t quit heidi gets really bad Anxiety so to see her do something so big and face her fear I’ve couldn’t be more prouder xxxxx.

“I’m in bits love you xxxxxxx your my hero xxxx.”

The Sun revealed Heidi had auditioned on the show back in December.

A friend of Kerry’s said at the time: “She is over the moon and so proud of little Heidi. She has a fantastic voice and loves singing 80s music.

“Kerry and the kids are always singing and messing around at home but it was still nerve-wracking for her to go in front of the judges.

“Heidi is only 12 and quite shy but Kerry gave her lots of advice on getting out there, being brave and singing her heart out.”

Kerry started her showbiz career in girl band Atomic Kitten in 1998 before leaving to have a family in 2001, then rejoined in 2013 and was asked to leave the band two years ago after a spat with Natasha Hamilton.

The band topped the charts with Whole Again and Eternal Flame and Kerry hopes her daughter will top the charts too.

Heidi’s dad is Kerry’s second husband, former taxi driver Mark Croft.

The pair married in Gretna Green on Valentine’s Day 2007 after her split from Brian McFadden.
