Khloe Kardashian Addresses the ‘Unsolicited Commentary’ She Gets When It Comes to Parenting
Khloe Kardashian is no stranger to criticism, but when it comes to the way she raises her 3-year-old daughter, True, it hits a particularly sensitive spot.
The 37-year-old reality star spoke out in an interview with Cosmopolitan UK published on Friday about how no matter what she posts on social media, someone always has something negative to say, and how she’s learned to turn the other cheek despite it striking a nerve.
Khloe told the magazine, “I have my days,” when asked how she feels about the media’s focus on her personal life.
“There are times when I’m like, ‘I don’t give a *ss about anything.’ I have this incredible ability to block out everything.”
Then there are times when I struggle and can’t drown out the noise, and I get frustrated with myself for failing to do so.”
“It’s a never-ending cycle,” she added.
“Every day must be taken as it comes.”
“Just get these cameras out of our faces!” we say at times.
As a result, Khloe has learned that it’s okay to not share every detail of her life with the world.
“I used to share everything.
“I’m not sure if it’s because I’m getting older or because I’ve become more aware and exposed, but you become more guarded – in a healthy way,” she explained.
“We do like to keep some things for ourselves now.”
It’s maturing into a more mature version of itself.
It’s fine if you want to change what you’re used to.
It would be nice to keep many of the milestones private and only release a few photos.
People are still in our lives and are aware of our activities, but it does not have to be the entirety of the birthday celebration.”
While Khloe has learned “that you can’t just post anything because people will comment and say the craziest things,” she still gets annoyed when fans make comments about her and ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson’s toddler.
“I remember posting a video of her talking and people saying, ‘Cut the grapes, she’s going to choke,'” Khloe recalled. “And I was like, ‘They’re cut!’ I’m not going to let my child choke!”
“People give unsolicited commentary no matter what,” she added.
