Kanye West claims that his presidential rant ’embarrassed’ Kim Kardashian, who ‘didn’t like him wearing a red Trump hat.’
Kanye West claimed that his presidential campaign “embarrassed” Kim Kardashian, who claimed she didn’t like him supporting Donald Trump.
During a presidential rally in July 2020, the rapper, 44, broke down in tears, claiming that they had considered aborting their eldest daughter North, who is now eight years old.
Kanye ran for president as an independent candidate in 2020, but only 12 of the 50 states had him on the ballot.
During that time, he also went on a Twitter rant against Kim and her family, calling her and her mother Kris Jenner “white supremacists” and comparing Kris to Kim Jong-un.
Reflecting on the time, the Stronger hitmaker admitted that Kim “didn’t like” him wearing a red MAGA cap to show his support for Trump and that he had made them a “target” with his outspoken views.
“Let’s get political here,” he said in an online Thanksgiving prayer posted on Thursday.
My wife despised me for wearing the red hat.
[Kim] wanted to protect me and our family because she was a good wife.
“By not aligning with Hollywood’s political stance, I made myself and our family a target, which was difficult for our marriage.”
“Then I ran for president without any preparation and without any allies on either side.”
“During the one and only, thank God, press conference, I embarrassed my wife by the way I presented information about our family.”
“After that, all my father had to say was, ‘Write your speech next time, son.’
Kanye reportedly lost more than (dollar)14 million on his disastrous campaign, admitting he “spent money like crazy.”
“It’s the craziest thing I’ve ever done, and I’ve done a lot of crazy things,” he told listeners.
Kim filed for divorce from Kanye West in February, but he is determined to win her back. They have three children together: North, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two.
“Every day, all I think about is how I can reunite my family and heal the pain I’ve caused,” he said.
“I accept responsibility for my actions.”
All of my successes and failures have one thing in common: me.”
The singer wrapped up his lengthy prayer by emphasizing the importance of “accountability” and praising Kim for their family.
“I had to learn that I had to take responsibility,” he said.
We are constantly passing judgment on others and advising them on what they should do, but we can only be responsible for ourselves and our children.
“I’m grateful for my wife’s family this Thanksgiving.”
It comes only a few weeks after Kanye revealed…
