A Florida medical examiner is said to have visited a site where some of Brian Laundrie’s belongings were discovered as part of the search for him.
Officials from Sarasota County were on the scene, according to CBS News, after possible evidence of Laundrie was discovered in a park.
The items were discovered near a trail frequented by the missing man, according to reports.
Laundrie’s parents have joined the search for their missing son, according to attorney Steven Bertolino of local news station WTSP.
“This morning, Chris and Roberta Laundrie went to Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park to look for Brian.
The FBI and [North Port Police Department] were notified of Brian’s parents’ intentions last night, and they met Chris and Roberta there this morning,” he said via text to the outlet.
“After a brief search off a trail that Brian frequented, some articles belonging to Brian were discovered.” There is no word on what the medical examiner was there to look into at this time.
