On the Travel Channel, both The Haunted Museum with Zak Bagans and Eli Roth Presents: A Ghost Ruined My Life have been renewed for Season 2, which is fantastic news for horror fans.
Both shows are brand new to the Discovery Inc. networks and have been a huge hit.
In addition to airing on the Travel Channel, the shows are also available to watch on Discovery(plus).
“We’re thrilled to announce that Zak Bagans and Eli Roth will be creating more incredible cinematic content for our horror-loving audience,” said Matthew Butler, general manager of Travel Channel andamp; Paranormal Streaming Content.
“The scripted and real-life haunted horror stories that each of these series delivers mesmerize viewers,” Butler added.
When it comes to evoking genuine fear, Zak and Eli are master storytellers and masterminds.
We’re excited to get back into production on these, the scariest horror anthology series we’ve ever produced.”
Trvl Channel (@travelchannel) published a new tweet.
In The Haunted Museum, Bagans shows viewers around his personal paranormal collection.
The show is based on Bagans’ real-life Las Vegas museum and features scripted stories about objects in his collection with enigmatic backstories and macabre reputations.
It’s worth noting that Roth is a producer on the show.
A Ghost Ruined My Life, on the other hand, is a documentary series that chronicles the true stories of people who have been tormented by supernatural forces.
Reenactments are also used to help people understand the horrors they faced.
In an exclusive interview with PopCulture.com, Roth discussed how he came up with the show’s concept and what he wanted to explore.
“I was really interested in kind of documentary horror, or scary documentary,” he explained at the outset.
“I got to thinking about stalkers, and what if your stalker turned out to be a ghost?” Roth continued.
“What if you were having dinner with someone and they started knocking the candles over? What if you couldn’t get rid of your ex, and your ex turned out to be a ghost?” Roth and his team “realized that not only does it happen, but it’s so unbelievably common?”
