Scarlett Johansson: Scream Queen of the Future?

While being honored at the American Cinematheque Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Nov. 10, the Black Widow star and producer exclusively revealed to E! News which film genre she is targeting next.

“I’d love to do a horror film at some point,” Johansson said on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, as seen on E! News’ Daily Pop on Nov.

“I won’t be able to watch them; I’ll never be able to see it, but I want to be a part of it.”

“I thought, ‘Wait, am I done? Is this over for me?'” Johansson joked, referring to the evening’s lifetime achievement award.

“I thought this was the end of something, but now I see it’s only the beginning, which is fine.”

The Oscar nominee for Marriage Story reflected on her illustrious filmography.

“I’ve been extremely fortunate to work with some of my all-time favorite filmmakers,” Johansson exclaimed.

“I think those creative, collaborative situations are what I’m most proud of.”

My co-stars have been fantastic.

I just consider myself extremely fortunate to enjoy my job and what I do, and to continue to be passionate about it.”

While Johansson describes producing as “very different” from acting, she admits that she will “never not be” an actress.

“However, I must say that producing is extremely satisfying,” she added.

Johansson, who is married to Colin Jost of Saturday Night Live, credited her family with constantly inspiring her.

“I have two wonderful children, and I believe it is extremely important for both of them to see their parents happy and fulfilled, doing work that they enjoy, following their dreams, and being passionate about what they do,” Johansson concluded.

“I think that means a lot to them.”
