Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas and Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya, both Netflix original series, will continue to be available to stream.

From 1986 to 1990, Shueisha’s shnen manga magazine Weekly Shnen Jump serialized Kurumada’s manga of the same name.

Toei Animation turned the manga into an anime series in 1986.

The series follows a group of young warriors dressed in magical armor who have vowed to protect the reincarnation of the Greek goddess Athena from evil forces and restore her to her throne.

Toru Furuya, Hirotaka Suzuoki, and Ryo Hirokawa, among others, provide the voices for the characters.

Between 1986 and 1989, Saint Seiya aired 114 episodes, with the first season joining Seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix on October 15th, 2019.

The fourth season was released in January of the following year, with Seasons 5 and 6 following on April 1st, 2020.

Netflix had a 26-month licensing agreement that was set to expire in December.

It’s possible that Netflix will decide to extend the licensing agreement before or after the end of the year.

Date of expiration: 15

However, if the licensing agreement isn’t extended, fans of Saint Seiya will find it difficult to stream the anime once it leaves Netflix.

The anime does not appear to be available for streaming on other streaming services at this time, though it is possible that it will find a new home on a platform like Amazon Prime, Crunchyroll, Hulu, or FUNimation in the future.
