Season 2 Trailer for ‘Emily in Paris’ Teases Steamy Romances and Lots More Drama

For a second season, everyone’s favorite Netflix snoozer is back.

On Thursday, the full trailer for Season 2 of Emily in Paris was released, giving fans a taste of the drama to come.

Despite the fact that Emily (Lily Collins) is friends with Gabriel’s girlfriend, Camille (Camille Razat), the first season ended with Emily (Lily Collins) finally falling in love with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo).

That love triangle is only going to get more complicated, based on the trailer.

Emily’s growing bonds with her coworkers, particularly her abrasive boss Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), are also shown in the new trailer.

Will Emily remain as outspokenly American as she was in the first season, or will she finally learn to appreciate French sensibilities? Season two premieres in December.

Fans will undoubtedly tweet and meme about it on February 22nd.

Emily’s new love interest Alfie, played by Lucien Laviscount, was also shown in the trailer.

This was announced by Netflix on Twitter in June.

Before joining Emily in Paris for Season 2, which is currently filming, Laviscount starred as Earl Grey in Scream Queens and as Romeo in the pilot for the Shonda Rimes-produced Still Star-Crossed.

He most recently played Alexander Cabot in The CW’s Katy Keene.

Emily In Paris drew a lot of criticism, from the protagonist’s proclivity for failure to the unrealistic depictions of French culture, but Collins handled it all with grace.

Collins stated in the November 2020 cover story of Vogue Arabia that she is choosing to look on the bright side of the criticism, saying that “as disheartening as it sometimes is to read these things, it’s also a gift.” While she refrained from focusing too much on the backlash the series has received, she did say that the criticism is an opportunity to “improve.” Season two looks to be all about fresh starts, whether that’s with a new love interest or some new insanity.
