The Show’s REAL Star, Jolt AKA Pizza Dog, is praised by Hawkeye’s director.

Hawkeye director Rhys Thomas praised Lucky the Pizza Dog, the show’s true star.

Jolt is the dog’s real name, and Variety was able to interview the filmmaker about the upcoming Marvel Studios series.

Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, Alaqua Cox, and Florence Pugh are among the cast members of Hawkeyes.

All of those actors are talented, but a one-eyed dog in a Santa hat isn’t going to be a fan favorite in the trailer.

The cast and crew appear to be aware of Jolt’s importance to the plot.

Lucky the Pizza Dog, hopefully, will play a significant role throughout the series.

Hawkeye appears to have a lot of action, which should allow for some holiday shenanigans from everyone’s furry actor.

Take a look at what Thomas had to say after the jump.

“His real name is Jolt.”

Simply put, he’s a consummate professional.

He joked, “It’s a little easier to be honest with you than some of these people.”

“In fact, I was fortunate.”

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige discussed how certain elements of the Matt Fraction and David Aja comics had to be incorporated into the show during the Hawkeye press conference this week.

All of these roles were relatively minor.

We got a little more from Ultron after that.

Then he proceeds to steal every scene.

During the Hawkeye press conference, Feige told Brandon Davis of ComicBook.com that “it was always the intention to explore much more.”

“The character’s backstory is extensive.

Also, the Matt Fraction comics, which I’m sure a lot of people have been talking about, served as a major source of tonal inspiration for us.

And observing that, as well as this new dynamic.”

“You can see this mentor beneath the surface in all of Jeremy’s appearances,” Feige continued.

“Underneath the surface, there’s this reluctant hero, this reluctant mentor.

Clint and Wanda’s scene in Sokovia is one of my favorite scenes in all of our films.

‘When you walk out that door, you’re an…’ he basically says.
