Let’s talk about criminals and their repercussions.
In season one, Ambrose investigated a case involving Jessica Biel, who also executive produces, as a troubled mother who randomly stabbed and killed a man during a beach outing.
Carrie Coon played the mother of an 11-year-old boy accused of murder in the second season, and Matt Bomer stepped into the killer lead role in the third season, in which he was involved in a seemingly accidental car accident.
In a statement, series creator Derek Simonds said, “It’s been a huge pleasure and a privilege to be able to tell the kind of stories we’ve had on The Sinner these past four seasons.”
“[Universal Content Productions] and USA have been fantastic partners and have always been supportive of our creative goals, and I’m thrilled to be able to wrap up Harry Ambrose’s dramatic series arc in this final season as planned.”
Thank you so much to my partner in crime, Bill Pullman, as well as the talented actors, writers, directors, and crew who put in so much effort to make this show a reality.
It’s been a fantastic journey.”
