After a Wisconsin jury found Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty, Hollywood stars such as Jameela Jamil, Bette Midler, and Josh Gad took to social media to express their feelings.

Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty by a Wisconsin jury on Friday, Nov.

Rittenhouse, 18, was “cleared on all five charges” against him, according to NBC News, for fatally shooting two men—Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26—and “severely wounding” Gaige Grosskreutz, 27, during protests in Kenosha last August.

Judge Bruce Schroeder of Kenosha County Circuit Court thanked the jury for their service after the verdict was read.

According to NBC News, he said, “I couldn’t have asked for a better jury to work with.”

“It has truly been my pleasure… simply because of your attentiveness and cooperation.”

“We are grateful to the members of the jury for their diligent and thoughtful deliberations,” the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office said, adding that while they were “disappointed with the verdict, it must be respected.”

The Kenosha community has been through a lot in the last 15 months, but we’ve managed to stay resilient and strong.”

President Joe Biden acknowledged that the decision would “leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned” in a statement, but urged “everyone to express their views peacefully, consistent with the rule of law.”

“I know we won’t be able to heal our country’s wounds overnight,” he continued, “but I remain committed to doing everything in my power to ensure that every American is treated equally, fairly, and dignified under the law.”

Following the announcement of the verdict, celebrities took to social media to express their feelings.
